<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive sheet change assisting device which eliminates problems that a sheet change requires heavy labor and a long period of time, is used at home irrespective of beds, and is easily operated. <P>SOLUTION: Since the patient's body is divided approximately into three parts of a head part, a body part, and a leg part, and the head part and the leg part are lifted up with either hand or both hands, the sheet of the head part and the leg part is easily pulled and spread. However, the sheet change of the body part is hard since the body part is too heavy to lift up. Consequently, the sheet change assisting device 1 is used. In the sheet change assisting device 1, by clamping the sheet with strip plates comprising a rotatable roller by lifting one side of the body part, by piling up a pair of upper and lower plates, and by pulling the sheet, the roller rotates in the opposite directions at the upper and lower parts, and the plates and the sheet move between the patient 4 and mat 3. Consequently, an old sheet is pulled out.
