PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet taking-out mechanism capable of reliably taking out bills accumulated in an accumulation part to the outside of the accumulation part irrespective of length in the transverse direction of the bill. SOLUTION: This paper sheet taking-out mechanism allowing a hand arm 34 to enter the temporary accumulation part 6a for accumulating bills and receive the bill to take out the bill to the outside is provided with a main control part for deciding a position where the hand arm 34 entering the temporary accumulation part 6a stops its entering operation in accordance with an accumulation position of bills based on size of bill and stopping the entering operation of the hand arm 34 at the decided position.
