<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for printing an image on a label surface of a disk type recording medium, which prevents ink or the like from running over outside a printing area formed on the label surface. <P>SOLUTION: An image is printed on a printing area 11A with a print head 31 by making a carriage 30 having the print head 31 perform scanning in a figure direction while carrying an optical disk 11 in a predetermined carrying direction. On the other hand, the position of the printing area 11A is detected, and when the detected position of a printing area 11A is displaced in the carrying direction, the printing position of image data for printing is corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
