Search means 4 determines, on the basis of search range information 5 in which an edge search range is associated with each angle in an extension direction, an edge search range corresponding to an angle in an extension direction of the search area 20 with respect to a target pixel, and sets a pixel whose edge intensity is large as a next target pixel from among pixels around the target pixel and further positioned within the edge search range. The search means 4 repeats this search processing. In addition, the search means 4 expands, when a target pixel is included in a specified area 10, the edge search range determined for the target pixel, and sets a pixel whose edge intensity is large as a next target pixel from among pixels around the target pixel and further positioned in the expanded edge search range. |
