<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction device capable of providing respective output destinations with event generation information without being affected by an information amount to be output to other output destinations. <P>SOLUTION: In a setting storage part 24, the mail address of a service person and the kind of an event are stored in correspondence, and also the mail address of a user and the kind of an event are stored in correspondence. A RAM 38 has a storage area 90 for a service mode and a storage area 92 for a user mode. Every time an event is generated in the multifunction device 15, a control part 32 stores the event generation information in the storage areas 90 and 92 corresponding to the output destination (service person or user) made to correspond to the kind of the event.
