The device has a mechanical or electrical component. The component has an epilam layer (6) in a partial area. The epilam layer is formed on a base of stearic acid or base of perfluorinated plastic or base of silicon. The epilam layer is applied by immersing the component in the epilam layer forming a substance or by spraying or printing the component with the substance. A thickness of the epilam layer is less than 0.1 micrometers.
