PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic power generation system for achieving the stable maximum power control even when solar radiation rapidly changes.

SOLUTION: A charge control ECU 40 halts a charge converter 20 periodically or at a predetermined timing, and detects the open-circuit voltage of a solar battery 30 by a voltage sensor 50. The charge control ECU 40 uses predetermined relational expression or a map to decide an operational voltage such that the output power of the solar battery 30 becomes maximum based on the determined open-circuit voltage. The charge control ECU 40 sets the decided operational voltage to the charge converter 20 as a target voltage VR, and makes the charge converter 20 to resume its operation.
