PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized air filter having a large filtration area, a filter medium for the air filter and a filter medium reinforcing sheet. SOLUTION: This air filter is formed of a fiber consisting of a core-clad hot-melt synthetic resin and includes a filter medium reinforcing sheet 18 placed and fixed on a porous membrane and the porous membrane 17 having 0.1-5μm average pore diameter, low in pressure drop and made of polytetrafluoroethylene. The reinforcing sheet 18 is fixed to at least one side of the porous membrane 17 to constitute the filter medium for an air filter, and the air filter using the filter medium is provided.
