PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide copper foil excellent in oxidation resistance, capable of maintaining the appearance color tones characteristic of a copper based metallic material, and also excellent in treatability, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: Provided is a copper foil 10 comprising: a copper based metallic sheet 1 containing copper as the main component; and a surface treatment layer 2 provided on the copper based metal sheet 1 and containing an amorphous layer containing oxygen and a metal whose affinity with oxygen is higher than that of copper, and the total thickness of the copper based metal sheet 1 and the surface treatment layer 2 is below 0.55 mm. |
