PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the S/N ratio of a non-contact type AE sensor having no active element in its rotary part. SOLUTION: The non-contact type AE sensor is equipped with the rotary part 40, which is provided to the rotary shaft of a rotor and has an LC circuit constituted of the capacity corresponding to an AE converter 31 and a first inductance element 41, and the fixing part 50 which is provided in opposed relation to the rotary part and has the second inductance element 51 electromagnetically coupled with the first inductance element 41 and an amplifier 64 for amplifying the electric signal of the second inductance element 51. The rotary part 40 is equipped with the capacity corresponding to the AE converter 31 and the resonance amplifying capacity 42 provided in parallel to the first inductance element 41, and the capacity value of the resonance amplifying capacity is selected so that the LC circuit formed of the capacity corresponding to the AE converter 31, the first inductance element 41 and the resonance amplifying capacity is resonated by frequency being a measuring target.
