PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laying member enabling the easy remodeling of a room in general homes. SOLUTION: This Tatami mat (laying member) 1 is formed by replaceably stacking a plurality of mat-like unit Tatami mats (unit laying members) 2 and 3 on each other while differentiating patterns on these surfaces. Since the surfaces of the unit Tatami mats 2 and 3 with different patterns appear by replacing the stacked unit Tatami mats 2 and 3 with each other in the vertical direction, the remodeling of the room can be easily performed by merely replacing the stacked unit Tatami mats 2 and 3 with each other in the vertical direction.
