SILICA BLOCK HAVING WATER PERMEABILITY

Water-permeable silica bricks are provided to allow water to permeate into the ground when used as paving bricks, improve a self waterproof function of the ground, and prevent the depletion of underground water. A water-permeable silica brick includes 76-88 wt% of a refractory powder having a particle size of 0.6-6.0 mm, 5-10 wt% of a clay powder, 3-7 wt% of a talc powder, and 3-8 wt% of bentonite. The refractory powder has an alumina and silica content of 70 wt% or more, wherein a content of the alumina is 50 wt% or more. A porosity of the water-permeable silica brick is 25-30 vol.%.
