PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing engineering method of weak soil capable of processing weak soil accumulated on a bottom of a harbour or a dam or weak soil of a swamp or a beach at ebb tide, etc., without adding a solidifying medium such as cement, etc., and without giving bad influence on a circumferential environment. SOLUTION: This method includes a process to transport weak soil 11 to a disposal pit 10 and input to it, a process to drive a plural number of drain materials 20 in weak soil roughly in the vertical direction, a process to lay a drain mat 12 on weak soil where the drain materials are driven, a process to lay a porous pipe 13 communicated to a pump 14 on the drain mat, a process to cover weak soil from above the porous pipe with an airtight sheet and a process to dehydrate water contained in weak soil by actuating the pump. Additionally, the drain materials are provided with an upper part pipe body 22 and a lower part pipe body 23 furnished with a plural number of slits 22b, 23b free to reciprocally slide, and non-woven cloth 21 is filled in these first and second pipe bodies.
