Method and apparatus for removing flat carton blanks from a magazine and for erecting the blanks

Production of (folding) boxes (20) comprises removing a preferably lowermost flat-lying box using a removal element, especially a suction element, from a magazine (26) partly into a removal device. To remove the box from the magazine an element, especially a web (36), is moved perpendicularly to the removal device between the magazine and the partly removed box. An Independent claim is also included for a device used in the production of (folding) boxes. Preferred Features: After removal from the magazine the box is transported on a continuous conveyor (30) in the direction of an assembly station for assembly of the box into a three-dimensional, especially tubular form.
