<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assisting apparatus for eliminating leg edema by aging, and preventing and recovering the muscular weakness of a lower thigh. <P>SOLUTION: Foot placement boards 1 having a shape and a size to put respective right and left feet on are arranged in parallel to the right and left of a driving device 4 which is driven by an electric motor 8 and includes right and left output shafts. Sliding members 6 with a slot 7 formed therein and bearing members 2 are arranged under the rear parts of the boards 1 and pivotally supported by a support part 3 which is disposed on a base 9, so as to be freely rotatable. Cranks 5 are arranged in the right and left shafts of the driving device, the crank pins 5a are engaged with the slots of the sliding members arranged under the foot placement boards, and then, a slot mechanism is formed.
