<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of surely acquiring management information such as account data by means of an external management computer without unnecessarily booting the image forming apparatus and complicating the structure of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This copier body 20 can take an energizing state or a non-energizing state and has an amount data holding section for holding predetermined account data. The copier body 20 is connected to the management computer (PC) 11 through a network 13.
