PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens which realizes at least a second type light distribution pattern having directivity toward a street side and has a ratio of street-side light intensity to house-side light intensity of 2 or more, and to provide a lighting device having the same.SOLUTION: A lens has a light incident surface 132 for light to enter and a light exit surface 136 for the light passing through the light incident surface to pass through, and a ratio of a first distance to a second distance of the light incident surface is less than 1, and a ratio of a first distance to a second distance of the light exit surface is greater than 1 and less than 2.2. The first distance associated with the light incident surface is a distance between a first reference plane and a lowermost end of the light incident surface on one side of the first reference plane and the second distance associated with the light incident surface is a distance between the first reference plane and a lowermost end of the light incident surface on the other side of the first reference plane, while the first distance associated with the light exit surface is a distance between the first reference plane and a lowermost end of the light exit surface on the one side of the first reference plane and the second distance associated with the light exit surface is a distance between the first reference plane and a lowermost end of the light exit surface on the other side of the first reference plane, where the first reference plane is a plane that passes through the center of the light incident surface. |
