PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for accommodating, mixing, and transporting pharmaceutical products, in particular, in a bypass cartridge.SOLUTION: A device for mixing a material consisting of two constituents accommodated in a cartridge 12 includes a cartridge and a cartridge holder 32 around the cartridge. The device includes a plunger rod 46 for pushing a closure member so that a diluent in a second chamber can be transferred through a bypass channel to mix a constituent in a first chamber and a diluent in the second chamber. The plunger rod is driven by a component body consisting of a rack 48 and a pinion gear 50 so as to prevent a rapid movement of the plunger rod.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
