PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor which is high in accuracy and efficiency, low at noise by lessening a waviness in the peripheral direction owing to cutting side faces of a scroll-like lap with an irrotational tool. SOLUTION: The side faces 1b1, 1b2 of the scroll lap 1 is cut with the irrotational rotary tool 9 so that compressed gas can be prevented from leaking between sliding side faces of each lap of a fixed scroll and a rotating scroll so as to improve compression efficiency.
