A parking system and apparatus has a camera C1 being arranged to record an image of each vehicle entering the associated car parking facility and permit the user of a vehicle to identify an image of their vehicle and make a payment. In addition, the invention includes a method of obtaining payment from a vehicle user for vehicle parking charges and optionally a penalty or excess charge. The car park need not have entry and exit barriers. |
