<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact tag in which optional data is set and set data is read by a reader-writer whenever necessary, and which is reduced in capable of attaining a reduced price. <P>SOLUTION: The noncontact tag 1 comprises an antenna coil 11, a power supply circuit 12, a clock generation circuit 13, a data setting circuit 14, a parallel-serial conversion circuit 15, and a load modulation circuit 16. The data setting circuit 14 includes a plurality of data setting pads 141 and a common connecting conductor 142 having one end grounded, and common DC voltage is applied from the power supply circuit 12 to each of the plurality of data setting pads 141 through a resistance element 143, respectively.
