PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary-type punching device and a punching method of a metal plate, wherein the device can be simplified without requiring a special mechanism for positioning at every station. SOLUTION: In a press die device 10 constituted so that the carried-in metal plate 24 is successively conveyed to a plurality of stations 15-22 respectively having a die 15b-22b and a punch 15a-22a and punched, each station 15-22 is arranged at the same angular pitch on the same circumference and also a rotary conveying table 25 with which the metal plate 24 is successively conveyed to each station 15-22 and the metal plate 24 is placed on the dies 15b-22b when punching the plate is included and, furthermore, the punches 15a-22a which are relatively moved to the each die 15b-22b are mounted to the same punch holder 12.
