PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity sales data processing apparatus configured to reduce the workload for receiving a selling object indicated by a validation card, and a program.SOLUTION: A commodity sales data processing apparatus includes commodity selling means, transmission means, receiving means, generation means, and output means. The commodity selling means executes commodity selling processing on a payment for a validation commodity which validates a PIN code when the payment is settled. The transmission means transmits identification information to identify the validation commodity after the commodity selling means settles the payment. The receiving means receives validation commodity information on transmission of the PIN code, for receiving a selling object indicated by the validation commodity of the identification information transmitted by the transmission means. The generation means generates a code symbol image, on the basis of the validation commodity information received by the receiving means.
