Disclosed are an information processing method and device. The method comprises: receiving an information forwarding request sent by a first user through an instant messaging application platform, wherein the information forwarding request contains information content to be forwarded, a source user identifier for issuing the information content and a first user identifier; and according to the first user identifier, determining an identifier of a target user establishing a friend relationship with the first user corresponding to the first user identifier, and sending an information issuance message carrying the information content to be forwarded and the source user identifier for issuing the information content to a target user corresponding to the identifier of the target user. In this way, a first user uses an instant messaging server to carry specific demand information sent by a source user in an information forwarding request and forwards same to other users establishing a friend relationship with the first user, so as to facilitate other users in contacting the source user directly when processing the specific demand information, thereby effectively increasing the processing efficiency of the specific demand information, and further improving the instant experience when the user uses the instant messaging application.
