PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image forming apparatus that can form a planar image and a stereoscopic (protruding) image under the optimum conditions respectively without spoiling productivity, and that can form a stereoscopic (protruding) image in which any region can be easily made to protrude as required. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic image forming apparatus is equipped with an image forming means 5Y to 5K to form a non-foaming toner image on a recording medium S, a stereoscopic image forming means 5P to form a thermally foaming toner image on the recording medium S, a fixing means 25 to heat and fix the toner image formed on the recording medium S, and a region heating means 30 which is disposed in the downstream side of the fixing means 25 and which heats the toner image heated and fixed by the fixing means 25 and changes the heat quantity in a selected desired image region in forming a stereoscopic image.
