This invention pertains to an insulation method for cryogenic liquids or gases where the tanks or pipes are made for transport or storage especially for LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) where the tanks/pipes insulation (2, 3) consists of one, two or several layers of sheets with honeycomb core material. The honeycomb plates cavities are provided with expanded silicate that has good insulation like "Perlite". The container or the tank have a strongly build outer tank (4) and a flexible inner tank/layer (1) made of corrugated thin plate that can compensate temperature changes and is lying firmly against the honeycomb insulation (2, 3). |
