PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer particle which allows surface modification as is in the form of a particle and is suitable in biological fields and its production method.SOLUTION: A polymer particle contains a functionalized poly-p-xylene particle having at least one chemically active functional group of the following formula, and the poly-p-xylene has a nano- or micro-scale particle size. A production method of the functionalized poly-p-xylene particle comprises synthesizing the functionalized poly-p-xylene by the CVD method and conducting electrospinning in a relatively low polymer concentration. |
