PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analysis device which, when an emergency sample is put into the automatic analysis device, can convey it to an analysis device quickly and efficiently without replacing racks and get started on the analysis of the emergency sample.SOLUTION: In determining whether or not to transfer a rack put into an automatic analysis device by a user to an analysis unit, the automatic analysis device identifies a sample present in a route from a buffer to a sample capture position in the analysis unit, and manages the number of items, among the analysis items requested for the sample, for which suction by a nozzle is not completed yet. When the number of items decreases to or below a certain level, the number of analysis items requested for the sample in a state waiting for analysis in the analysis unit can always be limited to or below the certain level by controlling the carrying-in of the next rack from the buffer to the analysis unit. Even when a new emergency sample is put in, the automatic analysis device reduces the time until the measurement result of the emergency sample is outputted. |
