An LCD, and a method for repairing a defective pixel are provided to facilitate repairing of a defective pixel without configuring a repair circuit at an outer edge of the LCD by using a repair line overlapping a data line at least two times, and insulated from a peripheral region. A gate line(22) is formed on an insulating substrate, and extends in a first direction. A data line(62) is formed on the insulating substrate, is insulated from the gate line while intersecting the gate line, and extends in a second direction. A pixel electrode is formed on the gate line and the data line for each pixel. A thin film transistor is connected to the gate line, the data line, and the pixel electrode. A repair line(21) overlaps the data line at least two times, and is insulated from a peripheral region.
