PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel light-emitting structure and element, and a method of manufacturing such a structure and element.SOLUTION: A light-emitting structure includes a substrate 10 having a first surface and a second surface, and a polymer layer arranged in the first region 12 of the substrate 10, and containing a polymer and a plurality of light-emitting nanocrystal. The polymer layer has a patterned surface, including a first region having a plurality of first recesses and a second region 14 having a plurality of second recesses. The plurality of recesses in each region have a first periodicity in the first direction, and a second periodicity in the second direction crossing the first direction. The first periodicity in the first region 12 is different from the first periodicity in the second region 14. The polymer layer incorporates a plurality of light-emitting nanocrystal. A layer 16 of a material having a refractive index higher than that of the polymer layer may be arranged on the patterned surface of the polymer layer. |
