PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load acting on a support mechanism which supports vertical motion of a wheel.SOLUTION: A caster unit 100 movably supports a mobile body and includes: a base member 10 attached to the mobile body; a parallel link 20 which is rotatably supported by the base member 10 at one end 20a and may vertically swing; an axle 31 supported by the parallel link 20; a wheel 30 rotatably supported by the axle 31; and a spring damper 40 which is provided between the axle 31 and the base member 10 and expands and contracts in a direction parallel to a tangent line of a locus of the axle 31 swung by the parallel link 20 to generate a damping force and a restorative force. |
