The method involves providing a conductance value-sensor with two coils (1, 2), and providing flow areas for liquid in cores of the coils. The coils as respective excitation and measuring transformers are coupled with evaluation electronics (A). A conductor loop (6) that is closable by switching and running through both coil cores is coupled in a resistor unit (7). The resistor unit of a conductor loop resistor is switchable between two discrete resistance values. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for correcting values that are measured by a conductance value-sensor in a liquid-line (2) a method for automatic documentation of quality of measurement for determining dimensions.
