PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner and an image forming apparatus using the toner reducing orientation of binding resin and anisotropy of a toner material by suppressing molecule cutting of the binding resin in a spinning method of suppressing reducing the molecular weight. SOLUTION: The toner is a columnar toner formed by melting, spinning and cutting the toner material which contains the binding resin, pigment and wax, wherein the amount of gel component is 1-10 mass%.
