PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve insulation between in phase strand coils by simple work, in the wiring of a rotary electric machine with single-phase overlapped windings. SOLUTION: For example, a first U-phase winding U1 is constituted of three strand coils U1, U2, U3 wound with the single-phase overlapped windings. Coil pitches of the strand coils U1, U2, U3 are equal. The strand coil U1 is inserted in slots S01, S10, the strand coil U2 is inserted in slots S02, S11, and the strand coil U3 is inserted into slots S03, S12, so that insulation paper for insulating the same phase can be inserted in between the strand coils U1, U2 and between the strand coils U2, U3.
