The invention relates to a printing group (23) for a machine used in the tobacco processing industry. In order to further develop said printing group (23), an ink reservoir (141), an anilox roll (45) which cooperates with the ink reservoir (141) and by means of which ink (43) is removed from the ink reservoir (141), an ink transferring roll (47) that cooperates with the anilox roll (45) in such a way that ink or some of the ink on the anilox roll (45) is transferred to the ink transferring roll (47) in a preferably linear contact zone (46) between the anilox roll (45) and the ink transferring roll (47), and an embossing roll (49), by means of which printing marks (51) are applied to an especially conveyed surrounding strip (21). The invention further relates to a method for applying a printing mark (51) to a surrounding strip (21) used in the tobacco processing industry by means of a printing group (23). The invention also relates to a machine used in the tobacco processing industry and a use of a printing group (23) in a machine used in the tobacco processing industry. |
