According to the present invention, an apparatus for authenticating identification can actively authenticate a user′s identification and determine whether an identification card is forged by performing authentication in direct cooperation with an external server on a communications network or using internal authentication information without an additional help of an external terminal with respect to identification card information, which is generated from a user′s identification card needed for identification authentication, and biometric information such as fingerprint information generated by scanning a fingerprint of a relevant user. The apparatus for authenticating identification includes an identification card input unit, a biometric information input unit, a display unit, an authentication server relay unit, and an identification authentication unit. |
