The invention relates to the use of the compound biperiden as a MALT1 inhibitor in the treatment of a cancer disease. The invention relates in particular to a combination of biperiden and a phenothiazine for use in the treatment of a cancer disease. In a further aspect, the invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating a cancer disease, which comprises biperiden as a MALT1 inhibitor. The invention further relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising biperiden and at least one phenothiazine. In a further aspect, the invention relates to the use of biperiden in the treatment of a cancer disease. Furthermore, the invention provides a kit, which comprises a container that contains biperiden and at least one container that contains a phenothiazine compound.
