PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method capable of obtaining a high-quality image.SOLUTION: The image recording method includes the steps of: applying an ink containing a coloring material and anionic resin particles to a recording medium; and applying a liquid composition for destabilizing a dispersion state of the coloring material or the anionic resin particles in the ink to the recording medium so as to at least partially overlap a region to which the ink is applied.
