PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a driver properly recognize existence of an object to avoid collision with a vehicle.SOLUTION: In a spot lamp ECU, a pedestrian position obtaining part obtains a pedestrian position detected by a position detection device. A vehicle spot lamp includes a plurality of light emitting elements and is provided to be able to change a light irradiation direction and a light irradiation pattern by controlling lighting of the plurality of light emitting elements. A lighting control part controls light irradiation by the vehicle spot lamp. The lighting control part determines degree of risk of collision of a vehicle with a pedestrian by using the pedestrian position and vehicle speed, and controls the light irradiation by the vehicle spot lamp so that light is irradiated toward the pedestrian position while repeating reduction and enlargement of irradiation width when the degree of risk becomes high enough to satisfy a prescribed condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
