In the present invention, image signal fluctuations are reduced in a case where a negative supply voltage supplied to a pixel has changed. The pixel operates on the basis of a first ground potential imparted to a first ground line, and the pixel outputs an analog image signal corresponding to projected light. An analog-to-digital conversion unit operates on the basis of a second ground potential which is imparted to a second ground line and which is higher than the first ground potential, and the conversion unit executes conversion on the basis of a reference voltage which serves as the standard when converting to a digital image signal from an analog image signal. A reference voltage generating unit operates on the basis of the second ground potential and generates a reference voltage. A reference voltage correcting unit corrects a reference voltage generated according to a change in the first ground potential and then supplies the corrected reference voltage to the analog-to-digital conversion unit.
