PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil type emulsion composition having good stability while having fresh sense of use and high skin-care effects. SOLUTION: The emulsion composition contains (A) one or more kinds selected from glycerol monooleate, glycerol monoisostearate and polyoxyethylene glyceryl isostearate, (B) an aqueous component and (C) an oily component containing a solid oil component, and satisfies the following conditions (i) to (iii): (i) the proportion of the component (A) in the whole composition is 0.1-10 mass%; (ii) the proportion of the aqueous component of the component (B) in the whole composition is 70-98 mass%; and (iii) the proportion of the solid oil component in the component (C) based on the component (C) is 3-70 mass%.
