摘要 An impact sensing device of an air bag using an optical sensor is provided to adjust the air bag inflation pressure by sensing impact in an accurate and quick manner and transmitting a wide variety of air bag deployment signals. An impact sensing device of an air bag using an optical sensor includes a housing(100), a light emitting unit(200), a mass unit(300), a light receiving unit(400), and an elastic member(500). The housing has an inside where a guide rail(110) is arranged. The guide rail has a hole for passage of light. The light emitting unit is arranged in the housing such that light emitted from the light emitting unit passes the hole of the guide rail. The mass unit has through hole(320) for passage of light passed through the hole. The mass unit is joined to the guide rail such that the mass unit is slidable. The light receiving unit receives light emitted from the light emitting unit and passed through the hole of the mass unit. The elastic member is mounted on the guide rail of the housing and connected to the mass unit so as to apply elastic force to the mass unit. The variation among the number of passages of light through the holes formed at the mass unit, caused due to the variation of migration distances of the mass unit in accordance with the level of impact allows stepwise sensing of impact.
