PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print server capable of performing correct printing with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A print server 7 comprises: a mail reception part 33 which receives an electronic mail; a print data generation part 53 which generates print data in a format usable in a printer 9 on the basis of information included in the electronic mail; a state recognition part 41 which determines whether the state of the printer 9 is normal or abnormal on the basis of communication with the printer 9; a print data transmission part 55 which transmits the print data to the printer 9 via a network 3 when the state of the printer is determined to be normal; and a recording processing part 57 which records the print data in a database 45 for print data when the state of the printer is determined to be abnormal. The print data transmission part 55 transmits the print data based on extraction from the database 45 for print data to the printer 9 via the network 3 when the state recognition part 41 determines that the state is normal after determining the state is abnormal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
