PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal enabling, in case of loss of a portable terminal with IC card function, use of security function by biometrics for preventing its use by illicit users and control of validation or invalidation of the IC card function through a user's easy operation with good visibility of the IC card function in this operation. SOLUTION: A user of the portable terminal presses or separates a finger to and from an input means 1 having a contact sensing function of sensing of contact of the finger and a function of inputting the fingerprint of the contact finger as an image, whereby a determination means 3 confirms whether he/she is a valid user of the portable terminal or not, and control of switching a noncontact type IC means 6 to be enabled or disabled is performed.
