摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform electric field communication over a wide range using one electric field communication system and to enhance resolution of detection in an object range without causing interference between a transmission electrode and a reception electrode. SOLUTION: An electric field communication system 1, a main control section (CPU) 2, a transmission/reception (modulation/demodulation) control section (TRX Chip) 3, a reception circuit section (RX) 4, a transmission circuit section (TX) 5, a changeover switch SW (switch) 6, a reception electrode 7, and a transmission electrode 8 are provided. The changeover switch SW 6 switches a plurality of transmission electrodes 8 selectively at a preset timing to establish connection with the reception circuit section 4. Similarly, in synchronism with switching connection of the transmission electrode 8, the changeover switch SW 6 switches a plurality of reception electrodes 7 selectively at a preset timing to establish connection with the transmission circuit section 5.
