PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a node device which suppresses increase in connection processing time when node devices are connected with each other while maintaining safety of content distribution system in a tree type distribution system. SOLUTION: The node device has a means for acquiring a level range to which its own authentication processing speed belongs out of a plurality of level ranges classifying the authentication processing speed for authenticating participation with other node device in order to participate in a tree type distribution system, and a means for connecting with any one of a plurality of node devices by authenticating participation between a level range acquired from the plurality of level ranges by the level range acquisition means and a node device having the authentication processing speed belonging to a different level range.
