PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a molding having an erected portion such as a rib without using a prepreg requiring a preheating step.SOLUTION: A method for producing a molding having a first portion and a second portion erected from the first portion includes: arranging a second material which contains a reinforced fiber (a) having a length of 1-30 mm and a thermoplastic resin (b) and has the reinforced fiber (a) dispersed in the second material and where the thermoplastic resin (b) is not substantially impregnated with the reinforced fiber (a), on the surface of a first material which contains a reinforced fiber (A) having a length of more than 30 mm and a thermoplastic resin (B) and has the reinforced fiber (A) dispersed in the first material and where the thermoplastic resin (B) is not substantially impregnated with the reinforced fiber (A); and simultaneously molding the first portion and the second portion by one press working. Adhesive strength between the thermoplastic resin (B) and the thermoplastic resin (b) is 2 N/15 mm or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
