PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of efficiently adjusting the amount of data to be recorded. SOLUTION: In a first endoscope system 100, an image processing unit 12 acquires image data of a still picture from image signals captured by an endoscope unit 10. The acquired image data are recorded with a first resolution. When recording image data in a recording unit, a reception unit 16 accepts a recording resolution setting instruction from a user. Based on the resolution setting instruction accepted by the reception unit 16, a recording control unit 18 causes the recording unit to record the acquired image data with a second resolution.
