PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate plastic forming of a valve part having large wall thickness and finish of a seating part, and provide an end part structure for surely connecting a small diameter end of a stem and a core closing the small diameter end, in technology for molding a main part of a hollow poppet valve reaching the stem from the valve part via a flare part by plastically forming a steel plate. SOLUTION: The seating part is formed on a large diameter end outer surface forming the valve part of deep-drawn base material connecting the valve part formed in a shallow conical shape having thick wall and the stem part formed in a tubular shape via the circular arc shape flare part continuously reducing wall thickness from a valve part to the stem part.
