PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more suitably perform setting of a threshold for determining a defect based on a comparison result than in a conventional manner in an inspection of an image by comparing an image obtained by reading an output result by image formation output with a master image.SOLUTION: An image inspection device generates an inspection image for performing an inspection of a read image based on an image for image formation output, determines a degree of difference showing size of a pixel value constituting a differential image showing difference between the generated inspection image and the read image, determines a defect of the read image based on the determined degree of difference and a threshold of the degree of difference, stores differential image information regarding the differential image whose degree of difference is determined in a storage medium, selects the predetermined number of differential images from among differential images shown by the differential image information stored in the storage medium based on the differential image information stored in the storage medium, classifies the selected differential images by the degree of difference to be presented, and sets the degree of difference selected based on presentation of the differential images as the threshold of the degree of difference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
